Pirates vs. Astros

May 05, 2005

Awrr has this writeup of the recent Astros/Pirates game.  Hopefully, the newest version of the spreadsheet worked.

Looks like it was an interesting game.

Thanks for the headlines and the spreadsheet fix, studes.  The new sheet works like a charm.  The volatility stat is interesting, I’ll have to mess around with it a little.  Luckily for me, I was busy tonight and couldn’t catch enough of the game to mess with the spreadsheet.  It was ugly… amazing how close Atlanta and Houston are in terms of RS and RA and how distant they seem at times.  I guess the whole team going through an epidemic of sickness (Backe and Lidge most recently) is one of those “intangibles” that doesn’t help anything.

Studes, great tool.  Unfortunately I seem to be having some problems with the new version.  When I try to log an event I get a strange runtime error which states “paste special method of Range class failed” - I think it is something to do with pasting the dates into the log sheet.  Any ideas of how to fix this?  Keep up the good work.

Well, that’s a new one.  Unfortunately, I can’t look into it until early next week, but I’ll do so then.  Is anyone else having this problem?

Thanks for letting me know, Benedict.
